29092026 Manitoba Premier Wab Kinew visits with Sioux Valley Dakota Nation Chief Jennifer Bone at the site of the former Turtle Crossing Campground along Grand Valley Road on Tuesday. The province announced Tuesday that they had purchased the former campground in partnership with the City of Brandon. The property has long been known to hold the graves of children who attended the nearby Brandon Residential School. The Brandon Residential School opened in 1895 and closed in 1972.
