BAND AID GRANTS ON MARCH 28 CANADIAN ROCKERS THE TREWS SET TO PERFORM LIVE FOR STUDENTS DETAILS: MusiCounts continues to keep music alive in schools across Canada teaming up with Canadian rockers, The Trews, to present two local Winnipeg schools (Maples Collegiate and Lakewood School) with their 2014 Band Aid Grant of $10,000 each to fund their music education programs. Colin MacDonald and John-Angus MacDonald of The Trews, will present the students with instruments purchased with the grant and will treat them to an exclusive acoustic performance. MusiCounts will also recognize the over $1,000,000 contributed to date through Sirius XM Canada. Special guest speakers include Director of MusiCounts, Allan Reid; Andreanne Sasseville, Director CCD and Industry Relations, from Sirius XM and Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages, The Honourable Shelly Glover.
