The annual Gold Medal Plates culinary competition was held at the RBC Convention Centre Winnipeg on Oct. 2. Nine of Winnipeg’s top chefs prepared appetizer plates for the 560 guests. The fundraiser supports the Canadian Olympic Foundation and the Own the Podium initiative. Luc Jean (Jane’s) won gold, Norm Pastorin (the Cornerstone) took silver and Edward Lam (Yujiro) earned bronze.
