Anti-poverty advocates will gathered at the steps of the Manitoba Legislature Thursday, April 23 at 12:15 pm to ask and the Manitoba government to make poverty reduction measures a priority its 2015 provincial budget. Organizers are asking for Rent Assist to be increased to 75 percent median market rent in this years budget and for the Manitoba Housing budget to be increased by $30 million.
