The 107 students from the College of Medicine at the University of Manitoba 136th Annual Convocation ceremony held in the Brodie Centre Atrium on University of Manitoba Bannatyne Campus Thursday. A total of 90 new grads will be staying in Manitoba of which 34 are proceeding into family medicine. Within the graduating class were nine Aboriginal students, the largest number in the past five years and all plan to stay in the province. Convocation also included the presentation of an Honorary Doctor of Laws degree to Canada’s foremost public health reporter André Picard. See release.
