Winnipeg Free Press News

Winnipeg Free Press Store
Helen Flint, an older resident in Old St. Vital sits on concrete blocks on Des Meurons that will be the new location for the post office boxes in her neighbourhood. Flint and other residents in the area tried to make a formal complaint to Canada post for its initial location on the west side of Des Meurons because it was extremely hazardous due to heavy traffic in the area. Her complaint went on deaf ears until the she contacted a reporter at the Free Press which questioned Canada Post which caused them to change their location for the boxes to a more suitable location for residents.
