In groups of ten, 110 medical students in the class of 2019 took part in the White Coat Ceremony during the University of Manitoba's College of Medicine Faculty of Health Sciences inaugural exercises on Wednesday. The white coat ceremony in front of family and friends welcomes medical students and establishes a psychological contract for the practice of medicine and the importance of compassionate care for the patient.
