Scott Meyers, 37, who was born Wilfred Sutherland before being scooped from his home in Camperville, Manitoba at the age of 4 and adopted by a wealthy couple in New Orleans,  is serving a 149-year sentence for attempted murder and armed robbery in Louisiana’s notorious maximum-security Angola Prison. Trained as a musician, he appears briefly in a documentary about the blues shot in the prison – Music From the Big House – wearing a ballcap and hugging Canadian blues singer and Juno Award-winner Rita Chiarelli.
