The Childrens Hospital Foundation of Manitoba kicked off their two day Christmas campaign Friday morning at the Polo Park Shopping Centre with a radio-a-thon and an opportunity for shoppers to make a donation at centre court. One of the pieces of equipment they hope to purchase is this near-infrared vein finding machine needed to find the veins of new borns or small children that costs $18,000. In photo David George demonstrates the equipment on Lawrence Prout, pres. and CEO of the Foundation with Kate Fenske with CN. CN has pledged to match donations collected up to $40,000.
