MIKE DEAL / WINNIPEG FREE PRESS Artist Ernest Cobiness talks about creating the statue during an unveiling at the Canadian Museum for Human Rights. Grand Chief Terrance Nelson, the Southern Chiefs Organization along with Midewiwin people unveiled part of a statue in honour of the true history of Indigenous people outside the Canadian Museum for Human Rights Monday. The statue is being made by artist Ernest Cobiness and will be finished by this time next year. The finial location that the statue will be displayed has yet to be determined, but its temporary home will be along Hwy 6 close to the Red Sun gas station. 160621 Tuesday, June 21, 2016
