Media Launch/Canada 150 Countdown Event

Grade 4 students from Sister Mac Namara School help launch the WAG's 150 Countdown Event , a coast-to-coast-to-coast artistic journey in the summer of 2017, by creating art that defines who they are as Canadians with local art teacher Nereo II (rear)  at a press conference at the WAG Friday.  

The Government of Canada is providing $300 000 in funding for the project called ART EXPRESS'D which will see three metal shipping containers transformed into mobile art studios be moved across the nation where communities will be asked to create art for that expresses who they are as Canadians in celebration with Canada's 150 birthday year.
