Debra Sinclair wipes away her tears as she breaks down while looking at photos of her son Waylon Smith in her home. See info below.
What: In 2006, Debra Sinclair’s eldest son, Waylon, went for a walk by his grandparent’s home in Lake St. Martin. He never returned. In the 10 years since, all Debra has had to keep her going is rumours, which become progressively more violent with every passing year. Still, she believes that somebody knows what happened to him. And on Thursday, she is planning to walk from what is left of Lake St. Martin – which was destroyed by flooding – to Winnipeg. She hopes to reach the city on Sunday, which would be Waylon’s 28th birthday.
