Winnipeg WWII Home Front
February 14, 1945
These pictures, just released by the Canadian army, show soldiers of a Manitoba unit, which contains a proportion of N.R.M.A. personnel, reporting back for duty at Fort Osborne barracks prior to leaving at the end of December for eastern Canada. They are now serving overseas as reinforcements. A number of men of the same unit failed to report back after leave and are now the object of a wide-spread man-hunt by military and civil police. Left, members of the unit answer to their names in the Fort Osborne garrison drill hall, after returning 'on schedule.
