Canstar Community News Aug. 9, 2017 - The 48th Folklorama kicked off on Aug. 6 with pavilions across the city celebrating the cultural diversity of Winnipegs population. Events in the southwest included the Korean pavilion at the Masonic Memorial Temple, featuring tae kwon do, a traditional fan dance, and contemporary K-pop performance. At the Pabellon de España at the Centro Caboto Centre audiences were entertained by the Sol de España dance group, castanets and Flamenco performances. Pavilions continue until Aug. 19.
