WAYNE GLOWACKI / WINNIPEG FREE PRESS

The New West Hotel on the Main St. strip at Sutherland Ave. got a new paint job by artists from Winnipeg and  Montreal in completely collaborative style on site. The hotel owner gave artistic freedom to the EN MASSE artists Jason Botkin, MC Baldassari, Storm Angeconeb, Jade Rennie-Harper, Charlie Johnston, Matea Radic, Jay Cabredo and Takashi Iwasaki who incorporated images from conversations from the public in the neighbourhood and pure imagination and completed the collective vision in 5 days. The project was part of Wall-to-Wall Mural & Culture Festival and a partnership with North End Renewal Corporation, Graffiti Art Programming, Manitoba Arts Council.  Oct.10 2017
