Since 1927,  Leon A. Brown Ltd. has been at Portage and Main and over the years has grown into a diverse company with film studios, residential and industrial development in Toronto, Vancouver, and Winnipeg. Many of The Exchange District's earliest revitalizations were the work of Leon A Brown Ltd. Including: 374 Donald, 376 Donald, 44 Princess, 460 Main, 111 Pacific, 109 Alexander and 92 Gomez. The company  supports a wide range of charitable causes including: The Winnipeg Foundation, UJA, Bnai Brith Camp, The Winnipeg Art Gallery, Canadian Museum of Human Rights and Nuit Blanche. At the ceremony held  Tuesday in the Bank of Montreal at Portage & Main they announced a donation to Art City and their support to open Portage and Main to pedestrians. Nov. 21  2017
