WAYNE GLOWACKI / WINNIPEG FREE PRESS Frank Ulrich, executive director of the Union Gospel Mission with gift bags donated by the Winnipeg Free Press and delivered Monday to the Mission on Princess St. by advertising executives Karen Buss, Director, at right, and Sandra Sampson, Sales Coordinator. The mission sent out a call for the public to help fill gifts bags for the needy in the area and the Free Press filled and delivered bags for 10 men, 10 ladies, 5 boys and 5 girls. The Union Gospel Mission hands out gifts to everyone who comes to their Christmas Dinner, their Street Ministry and other programs. They are looking for gifts for 300 men, 200 women, and 100 children. Items needed for an adult include razors & shaving cream, shampoo & conditioner, toothpaste & toothbrush, comb or brush,deodorant, Bible,Christian book or CD, socks, hats,gloves & scarves. For Children: new unwrapped toy, new teddy bear, Bible, hats, mitts & scarves, Christian book or CD. Label the gifts for 'man''woman''boy' or 'girl'. They can be placed in small to medium gift bags, shoe boxes, draw string bags or back packs and dropped off at the Mission. Dec. 11 2017
