RUTH BONNEVILLE / WINNIPEG FREE PRESS

Students learn teamwork in the Actions Count gallery at museum.
CMHR hosted schools from across Winnipeg to an event called
DisruptEd Thursday. This free youth event invited students to browse the galleries and learn how to share their experiences on social media platforms in a way that promoted empathy and teamwork and learn about social and emotional intelligence as necessary skills for the future of work. Students had to discover stories within the Museum’s exhibits through clues while using a variety of social media platforms to share these stories online. Twelve junior and senior high schools in Winnipeg participated in event Thursday.
