Local - Sikh Temple at 1244 Mollard Road, south side of Mollard, west of Pipeline Road

Story: West St. Paul residents oppose a proposal to almost double the size of a Sikh Temple. There are 10 homes on the other side of the road. Note, was able to get only one of the homes in the shot to juxtapose with the temple because of private property and tree line.

SIKH TEMPLE DISPUTE: A council committee is hearing an appeal by the administration against a decision of the Board of Adjustment to allow a major expansion of a Sikh Temple on Mollard Road, from 21,565 sq.ft. to 39,087, an 81% increase in the building size.
The planning department said proposals such as this have to go through a public hearing, but the Sikh Temple bypassed the process by applying for a conditional use through the board of adjustment. The site is on largely agricultural, unserviced land on the
 city’s NW edge.
