Photo description:
MIKE DEAL / WINNIPEG FREE PRESS Sequoia sempervirens trees are watered in the Buller Greenhouse. These little trees, if grown under the right conditions, can reach up to 60-100 feet in height. In 2014 the new manager of the greenhouse, Dr. Carla Zelmer, decided that the Buller Greenhouse should be enjoyed by the wider U of M community. Up until then the greenhouse was only open to instructors and researchers of the Biological Sciences Department. Now the greenhouse is open to the public Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. until noon. 190118 - Friday, January 18, 2019.
