The students wanted to do their project on alcohol use in young people hoping the findings would curb use among their peers. Youth Science Canadas (YSC) Frontier Schools region hosted a regional science fair for aspiring young scientists, engineers and entrepreneurs at the Manitoba Museum Thursday. This event is in partnership with Rogers, who recently provided a $50,000 national community grant in support of this initiative, with the winning student receiving the Ted Rogers Innovation Award. Todays event is one of 102 regional science fairs that take place across Canada annually, with approximately 25,000 students competing across the country. Youth from grades 7-12 present a project that focuses on an important issue in society health, environment, innovation and energy among others. At each fair, one project will receive a Ted Rogers Innovation Award that acknowledges future leaders and their innovative accomplishments. Standup photo March 14,, 2019
