Canstar Community News April 3, 2019 - Churchill High School student Mesgna Mesgna has been selected for a $100,000 Loran Scholarship. Mesgna, 17, founded a sports and academics club for kids in Grades 4 through 6 in central Winnipeg called Sports and Smarts. The weekly afterschool program helped children at the Sister Macnamara branch of the Boys and Girls Club of Winnipeg advance their math and literacy skills while developing confidence through sports.
