LOCAL - Jean Vanier legacy

Albert (74yrs) a resident of L’Arche Dayspring Home, proudly holds a picture of himself taken with Jean Vanier, founder of L'Arche  (an International organization that assists people with developmental disabilities), when Vanier visited Winnipeg at a retreat in 1998.  

Photo was taken in his bedroom at  L'Arche  home with his favourite cartoon characters on the shelves around him.  

Albert was living at an institution in Portage when L’Arche began moving them into homes in the community in 1970s.

For Sanders story about the legacy of Jean Vanier who died today at 90 in Paris.
