LOCAL - fentanyl overdose

Shelly Taillieu looks out her living room window with an array of photographs of her daughter, Destiny Taillieu, in front of her. Destiny Taillieu, a young woman who died of a fentanyl overdose in November, a few weeks before she was supposed to go to treatment.

On the inside of Shelly's left arm is a tattoo with Destiny's name, and info.

Destiny told reporter back in 2016, that if she went back out there, she'd die. Now, her mom and aunt, Tammy Taillieu (also in some of the photos) are advocating for changes in how Manitoba's medical system treats people who are struggling with addiction.
