INTERSECTION - Treevival

Intersection piece on Weldon Neufeld, owner of Treevival, a woodworking biz that turns diseased and cut-down trees into home decor & furniture, everything from speaker amps for phones to patio furniture.

Weldon Neufeld, in his 60s, has been a carpenter for years; six years ago he started his biz, marketing his wares at farmers' markets and independent businesses thru-out the city. He's super resourceful when it comes to his raw materials - he's been known to pull stumps-as-driftwood out of riverbanks, and refers to himself as an arborist-chaser (if a tree service cuts down a tree and the homeowner doesn't want the wood, he'll gladly take it off their hands)

Portraits of him in his garage-workshop - both showing off his products and wood that's waiting to be transformed into his next piece.
