Winnipeg Free Press Store
PHIL HOSSACK / WINNIPEG FREE PRESS - Jason Petric' poses wearing one of his t-shirts and caps at the "Hi Neighbour Festival Friday evening. His 'Transcona Lifestyle' will no longer be creating or selling merchandise after this weekend. Late last year, the owner says, the Hi Neighbour Festival served legal documents stating its logo had infringed on their copyrighted logo, I (heart) Transcona. They thought things had been worked out. Then, a week before the festival, which starts today, and after Transcona Lifestyle supposedly invested thousands of dollars into merchandise, they were told there had been a change of heart and they we were no longer welcome to be vendors. The chair of the Hi Neighbour Festival said none of this happened, and that it was made clear from the beginning that Transcona Lifestyle would not be welcome at the festival.
