MIKE DEAL / WINNIPEG FREE PRESS As worries ramp up about the spread of COVID-19, two students at College Churchill have put together a timely science fair project on effective hand-washing methods. Their project found that the effectiveness of hand-washing comes down to not the type, cost or perceived quality of soap, but rather the proper washing method and duration. Reporter Maggie Macintosh put a special gel on her hands that shows up in blacklight to mimic dirt on her hands (photo A). She then washed them using Jillian Everton and Sadie Wiebe's technique and looked at her hands again to see the results (photo B). 200306 - Friday, March 06, 2020.
