Scott has been instrumental in the provincial effort to advance women’s rights for decades, but at 81-years-old it’s time to pass on the reins. Scott, who co-founded the International Institute for Women’s Rights – Manitoba with Senator Marilou McPhedran in 2013, has stepped away from the board, but not before establishing a solid foundation and line of succession to carry on the organization’s advocacy for gender equality and women’s human rights at home and abroad.
