Photo description:
Canstar Community News New bridge begins to take shape The new bridge on Highway 59 crossing the Red River Floodway in the RM of East St. Paul is slowly taking shape. Construction began in November 2020 and is expected to conclude in August of 2023. The 57-year-old structure was damaged by a dump truck in the summer of 2018 leaving parts of it unsafe. Work on the northbound portion should be complete before the end of this year. Following demolition of the old structure, work will begin on the southbound half. Duff Roblin Parkway and a nearby snowmobile trail will be closed for the duration of the project. Periodic detours via Spring Hill Drive and Garven Road will be set up when the access ramp under the bridge and the off ramp from Highway 59 to Oasis Road need to be closed.
