Jewitt Community School. The school was the first to receive funds from the WPA's anti-bullying program, Cool 2BeKind. Twenty-two schools will each receive $500 towards their specific anti-bullying programs. Over the past nine years, the WPA has funded 223 Winnipeg programs, donating $111,000. “As each program is designed by students and educators to meet the specific need of the school, it has a much better chance of making an impact,” Sabourin said.
