Helene Hoffer, who has lived on Kilkenny Drive for the past decade, expects that sandbagging will be necessary due to the close proximity of her property to the Assiniboine River. She says her and her husband have had to sandbag five times over the past 10 years. The city built a dyke (pictured) around their property in 2009 to help protect their house.
