RUTH BONNEVILLE / WINNIPEG FREE PRESS Local - Vaccine transport of bedridden Linda-Beth Marr sits next to her dad, 95-year-old dad William Marr, as he sleeps in his bed which is part of a shared living space with Linda and her husband Thursday. Story: Linda-Beth Marr has booked a COVID-19 vaccination appointment for her 95-year-old dad, who lives with her in Osborne Village and is bed ridden and very frail, but says it will be a tough day for him when he goes. He will require a stretcher service to transport him to and from the RBC Convention Centre. The cost of the service is $1,100.00 which is covered by Veteran Services. She worries about other vulnerable people who are in a similar position but without the same means or coverage. The province is not going to bring vaccine to homebound folks, which she said is a very bad oversight on the part of government. Her father, William Marr, is 95 and turns 96 in June of this year. He is a retired pharmacist and has become more frail since his wife past last year. Danielle Da Silva - Reporter Winnipeg Free Press Feb 25, 2021
