MIKE DEAL / WINNIPEG FREE PRESS
Two of the three co-founders of Better Days Wellness Foundation (from left): Diana Botelho-Urbanski (public relations and marketing coordinator) and Cami Daeninck (director of operations) outside College Jeanne-Sauve.
The newly founded Better Days Foundation, run by three young Winnipeg women in the wake of a peer in the Class of 2016 at College Jeanne-Sauve dying by suicide, is searching for student ideas for mental health initiatives to fund. The local nonprofit wants to encourage teens to promote conversations about mental health in the classroom — be it through packaging wellness kits or hosting workshops with mental health advocates. They've connected with the Louis Riel School Division to spread the word about their $120 grants.
