Two city councillors want the province to add a public property insurance option, after some home and business owners reported they can no longer afford private rates. A new motion from Coun. Ross Eadie (Mynarski), seconded by Coun. Cindy Gilroy (Daniel McIntyre), urges city council to lobby for Manitoba Public Insurance to add a property coverage option.
