April 22  and the Free Press has  agreed to be the  still photography pool supplying pictures to CP and Canwest  news services - Alexandra Paul Story - Poplar River ‘s Sophia Rabliauskas   has been selected as the winner of the 2007  , Goldman Environmental Prize , for her groups efforts to  protect traditional  aboriginal lands that include boreal forest on the east side of Lake Winnipeg  from hydro and lumber projects  and to establish  “rightful ownership” of lands that have been part of aboriginal culture for thousands of years . Boreal mixed forest  along the east shore of Lake Winnipeg  with  spruce and poplar trees  dominating .
