JESSICA LEE / WINNIPEG FREE PRESS Julie Leefe is photographed at her home in Oakbank, Manitoba, on September 12, 2022. The 69-year-old recently fell victim to a phone scam when she received an email from “Bell MTS” claiming there was a “voice email” for her. She was waiting for a quote from a contractor to fix her home exterior, so she clicked on the link and signed into her email account to listen to the message. She didn’t realize she had just given her login details to hackers, who started spamming her contacts. Reporter: Chris Kitching
