RUTH BONNEVILLE / WINNIPEG FREE PRESS ENT - RMTC - Into the Woods Portrait of RMTCճ artistic director Kelly Thornton in the rehearsal studio at RMTC. Story: The Royal MTC is venturing into the woods, the fantastical woods of Stephen Sondheim, the late giant of musical theatre. Into the Woods, a Sondheim classic, is being directed by the MTCճ artistic director Kelly Thornton, who has never directed anything by Sondheim before. Itճ a career highlight. We are getting a bit of a behind the scenes look into the musical set and stage craft, and this is an opportunity to get lots of art of the MTC. Reporter: Ben Waldman Jan 4th, 2023
