More Info: THE FORKS, WINNIPEG - The Forks is offering a bright welcome to the snowy season as Arctic Glacier Winter Park officially opens. Arctic Glacier Winter Park offers a winter experience for all-ages and abilities, with a tobogganing hill, skating rinks, and over 1.2 km of groomed on-land skating and walking trails. Skaters can once again glide on the ice at the CN Stage Rink and the Canopy Rink featuring a soundtrack of Manitoba musicians provided by Manitoba Music. The rinks are connected by the groomed on-land skating and walking trails. And over 100,000 lights illuminate the paths, creating a magical backdrop for the winter playground. Arctic Glacier Winter Park will be programmed with family-friendly activities every Sunday in January and February from 1PM-4PM (weather permitting), including horse-drawn sleigh rides, DJs on ice at the Canopy Rink and storytelling in the teepee with Barbara Nepinak.
