Meeka Hall, Jovi Keewatin and Kaylor Halfe dance and perform gymnastics while waiting for the powwow grand entry to commence on the opening evening of the Dakota Nation Winterfest at the Keystone Centre on Friday evening. After cancellations in 2021 and 2022 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the annual event is back in the wheat city until Sunday and features a powwow, a talent show, hockey, volleyball and basketball tournaments, and much more.
