Birtle Falcons base runner Dylan Couvier (99) narrowly avoids making contact with the ball on a hit-and-run play as Vincent Massey Vikings shortstop Skylar Ramsay (24) prepares to catch it under the watchful eye of second baseman Owen Wallace (18) in an interzone matchup at Andrews Field on Wednesday afternoon. Couvier was safe at second and Ramsay threw out the runner at first base on the play as Massey emerged with a 5-4 victory on a walk-off single by Nash Stone, who gave up two runs in 4 2/3 innings on the mound. Luke Lepper earned the win, with Carter Dittmer contributing three hits and Ramsey tripling. Massey, which won the city championship on the weekend, will now attend provincials in Glenboro from June 1 to 3. (Perry Bergson/The Brandon Sun)
