Story: Judge finds Manitoba's misappropriation of benefits for children in care unconstitutional and discriminatory against Indigenous foster children in a seismic legal decision, a Court of Queen’s Bench Judge found that Manitoba's actions and law prohibiting children in care from reclaiming $334 million of misappropriated benefits was unconstitutional and discriminatory against Indigenous foster children, in breach of their Charter rights as Canadian Citizens.
