Grands n More Winnipeg, (part of the Stephen Lewis Foundation supporting grandmothers in Africa whose families were devastated by HIV/AIDS), wants the broader community to know about the desperate plight of African grandmothers and their orphaned grandchildren. Their annual Art From the Attic sale of over 2,200 pieces of donated art will take place October 15 at the St. Vital Centre. The event sees art from donors across Winnipeg sold to help grandmothers in Africa who are raising grandchildren orphaned by the AIDS epidemic.
