MIKE DEAL / WINNIPEG FREE PRESS The Poppy Blanket is unrolled by creator, Sheila Lee Restall, and Manitoba Legislative building maintenance staff, including Brad Robertson, Chief of Protocol, Monday morning. First unveiled in November of 2019 the Poppy Blanket is an 85 foot long collection of over 8000 handmade poppies and thousands of dedicated ribbons.
