They and others from Winnipeg's Korean community participated in a candle light service held in Brookside Cemetery by the Korea Veterans Association on Saturday, July 27, 2013, to mark the 60th anniversary of the Korean War ceasefire. The service also recognized the designation of 2013 as The Year of the Korea War Veteran by the Canadian government.
