To take part in the challenge Manitobans have to pledge to take one step towards getting healthy at GettingHealthy.ca, to be entered to win 6 months of free groceries ($5,000 value). Dr. Michael Boroditsky, President of Doctors Manitoba spoke about how exercise is one of the best ways to prevent diseases. Ray Karasevich President of Assiniboine Park Conservancy and Anders Swanson, Executive Director of the Winnipeg Trails Association, also spoke at the event about the wide availability of outdoor equipment and trails in the Assiniboine Park that Manitoban's can access.
