Canstar Community News July 10, 2013- Alexander Steen, forward for the St. Louis Blues and son of city councilor Thomas Steen, and other current NHL players and alumni met with patients of the Specialized Services for Children and Youth (SSCY). They celebrated a $250,000 donation to the SSCY made by The Amadeus Steen Foundation. Currently the SSCY services are delivered through 14 different agencies, the new centre will provide centralized care. The SSCY centreís construction is scheduled to complete in 2015 and will provide rehabilitation for children in Manitoba, eastern Saskatchewan, northwest Ontario, and Nunavut with special needs.  $19-million of $22-million has been raised so far for the new SSCY centre.
