Canstar Community News 16 JULY, 2013- Chris Mitton, left, Boomer, and Quinn Nitychoruk are organizing Getting Furry for Furry Friends. Mitton will be sacrificing his face to grow out his beard with a goal to raise $10,000 in one year for the Winnipeg Humane Society. On Saturday, July 27 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mitton, Nitychoruk, and some furry visitors from the Human Society will be at Princess Auto, 515 Panet Rd. for a barbeque, music, face painting, and balloon animals in hopes of raising money. T-shirts will also be for sale one for $25 or two for $35, all proceeds going to the Humane Society. Boomer is an eight-year-old Shepard Mix up for adoption at the Society, 45 Hurst Way.
