Playing under the lights at Simplot Park, the 13U AAA Brandon Marlins hosted South Central in a game that started at 10:45 p.m. on Saturday, and the final out was called at 1 a.m. on Sunday. With the dew clinging to the grass as both tired teams left the diamond, South Central edged Brandon 9-8 during Day 1 of Canada Day Triple Crown Showdown.
