Sam,Thiessen shovels mulch to be spread under the apple trees Monday while working in the fruit orchard off Churchill Drive which is part of the Sustainable South Osborne Community Cooperative. Thiessen is a student at the U of M but works at the orchard in the summer months. The orchard is just one of several gardens that make up the cooperative and it includes a variety of fruits including apples, pears, plums and appricots. Aug 19, 2024
