Photo description:
NIC ADAM / FREE PRESS The John Howard Society is helping the children of incarcerated people have a better night sleep by recording their parents reading children’s books from behind prison bars. Until Sept. 15, the JHS is collecting donations of new books through a partnership with McNally Robinson. Once the books are bought, volunteers record the incarcerated parents reading the stories and then Christine Fellows masters the recordings and scores them with original music. The kids then get the CDs as well as the book. 240905 - Thursday, September 05, 2024. Reporter: Ben Waldman
